Left-Wing, Nationalist Movements In Latin America
ABSTRACT
The hero of Left-Wing nationalist movement in Latin America Simon Bolivar who was also known as LIBERATOR. The fight against Spain rule in country started during 1810 and it took place of 12 years. The original dream of Simon Bolivar could not be achieved which was United Latin American State, instead the Latin America formed with group of independent states existing original problems i.e. gaining stability, economic prosperity and social equality. The life of people not improved and poverty continued even after independence. Ultimately, the wealthy families started controlling the newly independent countries.
Left-wing, nationalist movements in Latin America
In Venezuela, there were many incidents and movements happened for independence before Left Wing Nationalist Movement started. At the end, the nationalist movement in Latin America started under the leadership of Simon Bolivar and the team do not know themselves as it would be Left Wing. In fact the movement was started caused by the influence of Spain rule that was existence since 1700. Though Colonies people able to produce many goods such as Coffee, textiles, minerals, wine etc, yet there were no free trade in the country and Spanish colonies not allowed to trade with others except only to trade with Spain and hence it became more advantageous for Spanish merchants. And no respect to Creoles, ultimately Simon Bolivar among them. Some of the wealthiest families in Venezuela including Simon Bolivar’s family lost the patience as Spain neglected Venezuela and hence started the Nationalist Movement. The movement known as Independence to Venezuela.
The revolutionary ideas also spread to Latin America from Europe and United States. As Haiti which was first Latin America nation got independence in 1804 gave the spirit to other countries who were fighting for independence. And many Latin American countries came out from Spain’s rule between 1804 to 1825. At last, Simon Bolivar could get the success bringing the independence of Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. The leaders including Augustin lturbide, Manuel Belgrano also associated with Simon Bolivar during the Left wing Nationalist Movement and even Nationalist Movement effectively influenced on the Liberation of Latin American Countries who were under the control of Spain.
The movement can be described as a fight by wealthy slaves along with the common salves against Spain rule. Oil reserves found in the country and it became largest OPEC producer. Though the ideas and goals of the Left Wing indicate independence, equality and opportunities for common people, yet, as usual, the wealthy families became wealthier but the Left Wing Nationalist Movement did not benefit the common people.
